The Office of Sport will host a number of Child Safe Sport webinars, outlining how clubs can create safer sporting environments for children and young people in line with the new Child Safe Standards.

Sport and recreation clubs have a responsibility to protect children from harm and abuse.

The free 90-minute webinar features practical ways to be more child safe for club boards, committees, leaders, administrators and volunteers with child safeguarding responsibilities.

The webinar will also introduce a range of resources, tools and templates that will assist volunteers in safeguarding children in sport, including an overview of the new Child Safe Standards.

This includes completing a club review pre-webinar and working on a simple, child safe club action plan post session.
