Throughout 2023 Female Football Week, Football NSW is highlighting the contributions of various members of our football community. Administrators Amy Shepherd, Kristi Murphy and Ainsleigh Bates have been nominated by their local representatives for their service to the game!

Amy Shepherd – Sydney University SFC

“Amy has been in and around the Club, helping to champion and grow our Women’s and Girls Football Program since 2016 (with a short sabbatical back to the UK for 2018).

“Currently, Amy performs the role of Football Development Officer at the Club, and manages our day-to-day operations – liaising with FNSW and our parent organisation, SUSF Ltd.; coordinating coaches, ground schedules, referee payments, and plays an integral role in helping develop our women coaches (particularly in the Youth League) and the associated players.

“She is a fantastic champion for not only our Club, but also Female Football in general.”

Kristi Murphy – Northern Suburbs Football Association

“Through her roles at NSFA as first a Development Officer and now Female Football Devlopment Manager, Krisiti has been supporting programs and growth of female football across the Northern Suburbs of Sydney for a number of years. Players aged 4+ are involved in events run by Kristi and her team.

“As a qualified C Licence Coach for XLR8, she plans and runs Women’s Skills Training sessions for females 18+ to support their growth in skills and confidence. On top of that, Kristi provides technical guidance to Northern Galaxy, Gordon FC and Asquith FC for their female football teams.

“Ultimately, she is a champion looking after all female football initiative within the NSFA. She’s a great program manager for the XLR8 Development Programs, plus Head Mentor for the NSFA Female Coach Mentoring Program. All whilst heading up the NSFA Female Football Working Group.

“Recently, Kristi ran the annual Skellern Cup for over 400 school girls, and feedback was THROUGH THE ROOF!!

“She is a phenomenal individual who champions women and girls in all aspect of our game.”

Ainsleigh Bates – Dubbo & District Football Association

“Ainsleigh has a long running background in football and currently serves as President for Dubbo & District Football Association.

Ainsleigh is passionate, compassionate, dedicated, and organised and has exceeded expectations when it comes to football.

“Her dedication to our association speaks volumes and Ainsleigh is hands down one of the most ambitious go-getters out there when it comes to bringing football games to fruition, rain, hail or shine.

“Ainsleigh is a valuable and irreplaceable asset to our Association and to Dubbo District Football.”
