State Titles aspirations are at the final stages of determination

At a very wet and windswept Glen Willows Complex at Mudgee it is Metro South still in with a very big show as this team is still undefeated with six wins and a draw from their seven matches.  If they win tomorrow?s match against Metro North they can claim their title, however after watching their nearest rivals, Met East and Met Far South do battle in the early match on Friday they will know exactly what they will have to do.
In a milder, but still cold Shoalhaven Heads, it was a matter of crash and burn for one undefeated leader and the other reigning supreme.  Met West went into Day Four undefeated but unfortunately their bubble burst and they lost both matches, one to Met East, their other undefeated rivals and Met East compounded their lead by winning their second match.  But they will still need to win against Country Western on Friday to secure their title.
I have finally arrived in Dubbo where the weather was the best it has been anywhere all week and the girls were showing their appreciation.  I must really point out here that our girls football has certainly come such a long way in a short time as the matches I watched today were all class and a pleasure to watch as the young ladies appear to be able to play their football competitively and yet still enjoy it so much. The girls State Titles at Dubbo are definitely an event of the top order.  Well done to Jim Auld and his army of volunteers helpers.
On the field we see Metro North leading on 16 points from Metro West (14) and Metro South (14).  Friday?s match up of Metro North and Metro West would appear to decide it if Met North can win, but a win to Metro West or a draw and if Met South can win the title could go to any one of three.  Can?t wait to see these matches.
The 14?s competition has seen Country West doing it a little tougher on Day Four, but they are still looking good things for the Country Championship.  Metro Far North are clinging to a one point lead from Metro East and Metro West.
The Metro Far North girls can make it two titles for their region as they are leading by one point from Metro South, with Metro North a further two points away.  The Metro Far North girls are looking good, but only a win on the last day will ensure their victory.
Good luck to all teams on the final day and remember to tell your mums, dads and bus drivers to drive home very carefully from all three wonderful State Titles venues.
