ALDI MiniRoos Gala Day success at Amity College

ALDI-MiniRoos

Amity College’s Illawarra Campus was caught up with ALDI MiniRoos fever as a special Gala Day was organized on Thursday 26th of October as schoolkids from kindergarten to Year 6 attended.

Both the teaching staff and children were happy to have seen Football NSW’s presence at Shellharbour as they took in a range of skills and drills which brought smiles to each of their faces.

Football NSW Game Development Officer Lauren Moore was delighted with how the day unfolded and was happy to have seen so many excited faces take part in what was a fantastic day for football in the South Coast.

“The children were quite excited to get into the day with small sided games running over three fields. “The children enjoyed playing small round robin games against each other from block sessions, giving the whole school time to come out and try the game we love “football”.

“Some of the skill and awareness for the game was great.

“There seemed to be some talent and knowledge amongst the children from all ages.

“At the end of the day we completed a small final requested by the children for the two-top teams in years 5 and 6.

“The school mural was amazing!! With everyone coming out to watch and cheer from the sidelines. T

“The day was all about just having some fun, the overall winner for the day were the children and their teachers for making it such a success and possible event.

“We thank Amity College for having us down there and hope to come back again next year.”
