Set up and run by the Eastern Suburbs Football Association the program presents an opportunity for people with a disability who have minimal physical access needs and whom are over the age of 5 years to participate in football.
ESFA White Knights kicked off on 1 May and will continue every Saturday morning at Heffron Park for 10 weeks.  The program runs for 1 hour from 10.30am at Heffron Park 1, corner of Fitzgerald Avenue and Bunnerong Road, Hillsdale.
The program has secured sponsorship support from Link Market Services, which has enable ESFA to keep registrations costs to $80 per player for which each player will receive accredited coaching; insurance; training strip; a sports gift pack and a participants trophy.

The program has been established and is managed by ESFA Competition Manager, Taleah Newhouse.
Neowhouse has acknowledged the work already been done by many ESFA clubs for disabled athletes.  Recently she said
?We know that local clubs are supporting players with disabilities; Maroubra United and Pagewood-Botany FC are two that I know of.
We aim to build on that work with the help of the sponsorship from Link Market Services, hopefully a grant from the Department of Sport & Recreation and support from Randwick Council and the ESFA Board.?
ESFA is also grateful to John Hunt from Coogee United who has volunteered as a coach. John also has professional experience working with people with disabilities.

Registrations for the White Knights program are still open.  ESFA is also looking for extra volunteers to assist on Saturday mornings.  Queries can be directed to Taleah Neowhouse on 9666 8686.
