Outdoor Trial Periods

Please find following details relating to the trial periods for the 2024 Competitions.

Set out below is important information about the process put in place regarding trial periods for the 2024 Competitions. This process has been put in place to assist Clubs with planning prior to the declaration of leagues.

The aligned start date assists Clubs in providing flexibility and choice on when to conduct trials to suit their own local Club operational pressures including venue availability, equipment and apparel orders and preseason planning for the 2024 season.

NO Outdoor Football Trials, Training or Trial matches are permitted to be scheduled or take place on ANY Saturday during October, November and December 2023. This long-standing policy remains in place to assist Futsal players and Futsal match officials to participate in the Futsal Premier Leagues Competitions.

1st Grade NPL NSW Men’s, FNSW League One Men’s, FNSW League Two Men’s, NPL NSW Women’s and FNSW League One Women’s teams only, are exempt from this prohibition. All other grades (teams) and Competitions must strictly adhere to this policy, this includes U20s and Reserve Grade. The number of competitions exempt has extended for the 2023 season to provide consistency across all Professional Competitions. Failure to comply with this policy may result in sanctions or penalties determined by Football NSW in its absolute discretion. For clarity, this policy remains in place through until Saturday, 30 December 2023.
