Inclusivity through Football in NSW
Multicultural Settlement Program and Multicultural Youth Program
The Multicultural Settlement Program (MSP) and Multicultural Youth Program (MYP) use football as a vehicle for inclusion, connection and participation within local communities.
The MSP is designed for children aged 4–11 years, while the MYP supports children, youth and young adults aged 12–25 years from migrant, refugee and multicultural backgrounds. Both programs are provided free of charge to participants.

What are the Programs?
Delivered by qualified football coaches, sessions are run weekly over an eight-week period and provide a fun, safe and inclusive environment where participants can develop football skills, build confidence, make social connections and engage with their local community.
Football NSW works closely with schools, Intensive English Centres, community organisations and local football stakeholders, with a particular focus on engaging communities and schools with higher levels of students from Language Backgrounds Other Than English (LBOTE).
The programs also help participants learn more about football opportunities available in their area, including local clubs, competitions, coach and referee education, and pathways for ongoing involvement in the game.
Where appropriate, participants may also hear from community role models and football ambassadors who share their experiences and demonstrate the positive impact football can have on belonging, confidence and community connection.
