Referee Development Panel

The RDP is the training ground for referees to further develop their skills on FNSW’s Youth League matches in order to progress through the refereeing pathways. RDP referees get access to experienced match officials (from the National Premier League and A-Leagues Women & Men) who provide match day coaching and training.

Who can join the the RDP?

Junior branch referees who are regularly refereeing their local games, and want the opportunity for further development and training. If you are not sure whether you are ready to join the RDP, speak to your branch coach.

What referee training is involved when I join RDP?

Football NSW runs fortnightly training sessions for the RDP. Training sessions include physical training, coaching drills, Laws of the Game discussions, video analysis and guest speakers from the A-Leagues. Training sessions are conducted both online and in-person.
