The 20-year-old requested the release when he realised his opportunities in first-grade would be limited.
“There was plenty of quality in front of me at Marconi and I just wanted the opportunity to play first-grade in the Premier League,” Grima said.
“They made it difficult for me to leave, but I want to thank everyone at Marconi because I’ve learnt so much, especially from the boys up front like Jamie McMaster, Joey Gibbs, Nathan Elasi and Keith Shevlin.”
Grima said he was happy to return to the club where he spent three years playing in the under 20’s before being promoted to first-grade last season.
“I’ve got a lot of good memories at Parramatta and a few mates in the current squad so it’s good to be back.”
“I called a few people at Parramatta as soon as I was released and luckily enough for me they wanted to sign me on the day.”
“It’s going to be a challenge to keep the club in the Premier League but I want to contribute anyway I can and help the club avoid the drop at the end of the season.”
Grima is available to play against Sydney United 58 on Sunday in what is a crucial match for both clubs.
