It was rather surprising that after all the rain that fell last week only three fixtures were washed out on the weekend but it came as no surprise at all that the games played all had a major impact on the appearance of the various tables.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – G12-G18 Overview

Mt Druitt Town Rangers did not lose a game on the day when they hosted Northern Tigers as they collected twelve points from the six matches played thanks to wins in the 13s, 15s and 18s and draws in the 12s, 14s and 16s.

Bankstown Berries pocketed a total of eleven points from their trip to Parramatta FC the Berries securing wins in the 12s, 13s and 14s and Parramatta with taking the points in the 16s while the 15s and 18s both ended in draws.

Sydney University collected twelve of the available points from their hosting of St George thanks to wins in the 13s, 14s, 15s and 18s while the Saints bagged the points in the 12s and 16s.

The Fraser Park v Macarthur Rams, Spirit FC v Bankstown City Lions and Hills Brumbies v Mounties Wanderers were all victims of the wet weather and those fixtures will be rescheduled shortly.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Club Championship Grade 12 – Grade 15

Sydney University jumped to the top of the table after they claimed nine Club Championship points from their matches against ninth placed St George while Mt Druitt Town Rangers dropped back to second spot after they collected eight Club Championship points from their clash with Northern Tigers who have slipped back one place to fifth.

Bankstown Berries climbed from eighth to fourth thanks to the ten Club Championship points they took from their visit to eleventh placed Parramatta FC.

Spirit FC have held onto third place on the table while Mounties Wanderers have dropped back one place to sixth and Fraser Park have slipped back one place to seventh.

Hills Brumbies have also dropped a pace on the ladder and they are now eighth while Macarthur Rams and Bankstown City Lions have remained in tenth and twelfth places respectively.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 12

Sydney University retained the lead on the competition table despite suffering their first loss of the season, a 3-2 result against St George who have climbed from ninth to seventh with their first win of the season. The goals for the Saints came from H. Jomaa and J. Maglassa. The scores were locked up at 1-1 at half-time.

Hills Brumbies retained second spot after their wash-out against Mounties Wanderers who have slipped back two places to tenth while Mt Druitt Town Rangers remained at third following their scoreless draw with fourth placed Northern Tigers.

Spirit FC remained at fifth following their wash-out against eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions and Fraser Park are still sixth after they were washed out against Macarthur Rams who have dropped one place to eighth while Bankstown Berries moved up one place to ninth thanks to their 3-0 success over twelfth placed Parramatta FC. Scoring the goals for the Berries were C. Mouawad, S. Chami and P. Apostolopoulos. The Berries had led 2-0 at the break.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 13

Sydney University are still the competition frontrunners after they produced a 2-0 win over St George who have fallen back two places on goal difference to eighth. Both goals came in the second half of the match.

Bankstown Berries retained second spot with a strong 5-0 victory over Parramatta FC who have slipped back one place to fourth. The goals for the Berries came from S. Tapalis, L. Nikos, P.Giannopoulos, K. Tsournakakis and T. Mazzucco. The Berries really piled on the pressure in the second half after they went to the break with a 1-0 lead.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers climbed two places to third when they were 3-2 winners over seventh placed Northern Tigers. The goals for the Rangers came from a hat-trick from J. Roberts while S. Immerschmitt and M. Dobson found the net for the Tigers. All the goals in this match were scored in the first half.

Macarthur Rams have fallen back one place to fifth, Mounties Wanderers are in sixth spot, Hills Brumbies are ninth, Spirit FC are tenth, Fraser Park are eleventh and Bankstown City Lions are in twelfth position.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 14

Mt Druitt Town Rangers managed to hold onto the top spot on the table after they battled out a 2-2 draw with Northern Tigers who have fallen back two places to sixth on goal difference. The Rangers took a 1-0 lead to the interval and then the Tigers fought back in the second stanza. Scoring the goals for the Rangers were J. Roberts and A. Bangura while N. Lozada and M. Mizzau netted for the Tigers.

Spirit FC have remained in second position following the wash-out of their match against Bankstown City Lions who have dropped two places to ninth.

Sydney University climbed from sixth to third with a 2-0 victory over tenth placed St George after the match was locked up at 0-0 at the half-time break.

Bankstown Berries moved up four places to fourth when they extended their 2-1 half-time lead over eleventh placed Parramatta FC to post a 5-2 final scoreline. Providing the goals for the Berries were K. Sprigiannis, M. Pennisi, H. Browell and D. Valiotis while Y. Mashallah and J. Malesevic found the net for Parramatta.

Mounties Wanderers have slipped back two places to fifth, Hills Brumbies have remained at eighth, Fraser Park dropped from fifth to seventh and Macarthur Rams are still twelfth.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 15

Mt Druitt Town Rangers maintained their goal difference lead at the top of the table after they capitalised on their 2-0 half-time lead to run out 6-1 winners over sixth placed Northern Tigers thanks to goals from S. Roberts (2), M. Sowa, S. Payer, N. Esgelinen and D. Araujo while S. Malone found the net for the .Tigers.

Sydney University are still in second spot following their 2-0 win over St George who have dropped back one place to eighth. Both goals were scored in the second half.

Fifth placed Bankstown Berries held a 1-0 lead at the break but Parramatta FC fought back in the second period to find an equaliser, an outcome that has allowed Parramatta to move up from tenth to seventh.

Spirit FC have remained at third after their clash with eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions was washed out and Fraser Park are still fourth after their match against twelfth placed Macarthur Rams suffered the same fate. 

Mounties Wanderers have retained eighth place and Hills Brumbies have dropped one place to tenth after their wash-out.

 

Super IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 16

Parramatta FC are three points clear at the top of the table after they converted a 2-2 half-time scoreline into a 4-2 victory over second placed Bankstown Berries. Scoring the goals for Parramatta were O. Robertson-Smith, C. Haddad, D. Lymberis and D. Elul while the goals for the Berries were scored by G. Lambropoulos and C. Saliba.

Third placed Sydney University suffered their first loss for the season when they were beaten 2-1 by St George who shot three places up the table to seventh. All the goals in this match came in the second half.

Northern Tigers are still in fourth position after they battled out a 3-3 draw with Mt Druitt Town Rangers after the Tigers had led 2-1 at the interval. This result moved the Rangers one place up the table to fifth. Scoring the goals for the Tigers were D. Corbett, O. Berricone and A. Morrisey.

Macarthur Rams dropped back one place to sixth following the wash-out of their match against twelfth placed Fraser Park and Spirit FC fell back one place to eighth when their clash with eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions was washed out while Mounties Wanderers and Hills Brumbies are ninth and tenth respectively after they suffered the same fate.

The wash-outs have left Fraser Park at eighth and Macarthur Rams at tenth, Spirit FC at eleventh and Bankstown City Lions at twelfth.
