Football NSW’s Daughters and Dads program attendees from both the Liverpool and Glenwood sessions recently participated in the A-League Women’s half-time entertainment at the Wanderers Football Park where the Western Sydney Wanderers took on Canberra United in their round 17 clash.

This comes off the back of a special visit by Western Sydney Wanderers A-League Women’s stars Amy Chessari and Bethany Gordon, both of which attended the Liverpool program further promoting the Daughters and Dads program.

Both Wanderers stars enjoyed the visit as this celebrated the visibility of successful women in sport allowing young girls to dream big.

The participants are now halfway through their Daughters and Dads program, an initiative supported by the NSW Government and NSW Football Legacy Fund.

The program is a combination of practical and educational sessions focusing on rough and tumble play, skill development, fun modified games and wellbeing education aimed at developing daughter’s bravery, persistence, and resilience.
