Coaching Conference Speaker Confirmed: Amy Shepherd

Individual Speakers 1200x630 SHEPHERD

Football NSW are delighted to announce Amy Shepherd as a guest speaker at the 2023 Football NSW Coaching Conference.

Amy’s coaching journey began whilst still playing, she started coaching youth teams at her local football club, Royston Town FC in England. Whilst studying at University of Brighton, Amy took a placement year at Cambridge United FC as a Football Development Officer which was her first experience working with a professional football club.

Upon graduating with a Sport Management degree, and becoming a Sport Development Officer, Amy was still heavily involved in coaching football both locally and at Watford FC within their youth set up. She then moved into full-time football working in New Jersey, US in 2013. From here she has held full time roles ever since.

After three years coaching in America, Amy came to Australia in 2016 where she started her longstanding relationship with Sydney University SFC. In 2018 Amy returned home to her native UK where she was fortunate to work as a Football Development Officer for Norwich City Football Club within their Boys Regional Development Programme, as well as assisting Watford FC Women U23s.

Amy returned to Australia and Sydney University SFC in 2020 and is currently their Football Development Officer and Head Coach.

Amy will be delivering a practical based junior football session on Day 2 of the 2023 Football NSW Conference.

The 2023 Football NSW Coaching Conference will be held at Valentine Sports Park on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th November. The two-day event, hosted by well-known football personality Stephanie Brantz, will see keynote presentations given by international and domestic special guests, with a raft of experience across all levels of the game.

Coaches will once again have the opportunity to sculpt their own learning journey through a series of theory and practical break-out sessions allowing you to choose topics most relevant to your specific interests.

Football NSW are also pleased to confirm that ticket prices for the event will be frozen and remain the same from the 2019 conference as a commitment to coaches having access to professional development opportunities.

Coaches can purchase a one-day attendee pass (25 CPD Points) or a two-day weekend pass (50 CPD Points).

Full attendance at each day earns participants 25 points per day towards FA/AFC Diploma reaccreditation as per the AFC Coaching Convention.
