Enfield Rovers add Adeli to Wright

Wright, one of the Futsalroos most capped players believes that the Rovers team has what it takes to surprise the opposition this season. ?After having last season off my hunger to play has definitely returned. We have a great bunch of boys here at the Rovers and while it wasn?t an easy decision to leave Allstars I needed to play under a coach that I respected and could add something to my game which I definitely have at the Rovers. To have Jake and Sheva playing alongside me gives me the confidence that we can have a great season.?
Shervin Adeli has come off a year of highs and lows and can?t wait to show his renewed confidence. After playing a vital role in NSW Lightning?s brilliant run to the National title under Futsalroos coach Steve Knight, Adeli succumbed to a broken ankle days before the Futsalroos left for the AFC qualifiers. While this turn of bad luck would crush some players, Adeli?s motivation and desire took over and he returned a better player and travelled to the Asian Futsal Championships in Uzbekistan. ?I was shattered when I found out my ankle was broken and thought about giving up. But my Dad kept assuring me that my disappointment will eventually make me stronger. Being selected for the Futsalroos was massive and having Steve as coach was great as he is so supportive. I can still play another two seasons in the Youth but I really want to play well in the Men?s comp this year and enjoy my first year at the Rovers.?
Enfield?s Men?s coach Ernesto Bivona has well and truly had a productive off season since being promoted from the Futsal Super League last season and this has culminated in some shrewd signings. ?I want to give a special thanks to Jamie Procopio for all the hard work in acquiring our new signings for this season. Our plan once learning of our promotion was to entice Lachlan Wright to join the club, as we believed that signing him would attract other players to follow. Making Shervin a Rover is a look to the future and his pedigree speaks for itself, but also picking up Jacob who I believe is one of the most underrated players in the league is a special coup. Jacob has changed clubs and will be an integral part of my team. I believe he will enhance his chances of making representative honours this season.?
The ambition of Enfield Rovers Futsal Club is there for everyone to see and with a very experienced squad including current Futsalroos train on squad member Joe Foti, his brother Rob, Tim Mascarello, Jeff Bugalo, Anthony Col and keeper John Maniscalto this season?s Men?s squad will go along way to helping Enfield consolidate their position in the Premier League.
