The shock results continue to come in the Womens preseason cup. After rain battered Sydney over the weekend, only one of the four scheduled games weren’t played.

POOL 1

Macarthur Rams 7-0 Marconi Stallions

The Macarthur Rams welcomed the wounded Marconi Stallions to Lynwood Park on Sunday afternoon. Even though many were expecting the game to be washed out, what ensued for the next 90 minutes was a real wipe out!

Both teams came off comprehensive losses last week and looked to avenge the poor results.

Last seasons champions were some way off the pace, leaking an incredible seven goals as the Macarthur Rams cruised to their first victory in the preseason cup.

Manly United 0-0 Sydney University SFC

At Cromer Park, two sides coming off emphatic victories clashed. Sydney University travelled to Manly United on Sunday afternoon.

These two teams look to play an attacking possession game of football but neither could build on last weeks success as they had to settle for a goalless draw.

The result leaves both sides undefeated so far in the preseason cup and sitting on top of pool 1.

POOL 2

Blacktown Spartans 1-0 Northbridge FC

At Blacktown football Park on Sunday afternoon, the Blacktown Spartans welcomed Northbridge FC to their home ground.

Blacktown came away with a share of the spoils last week down the coast in their visit to the Illawarra Stingrays and were looking to build on their result.

Northbridge on the other hand suffered a heavy 4-0 loss at the hands of the North West Sydney Koalas in the North Sydney derby last week.

The Spartans continued their good start to the preseason cup as a Morgan Roberts goal was enough to give them their first victory and push them to the top of the pool 2 ladder.
