Southern Districts takes up the challenge
Due to the fact that we not only have boys and men teams, but also girls and ladies teams playing in our District we will be supporting the fight against both men?s and women?s cancer and have the blessing and the best wishes for success of the Cancer Council of New South Wales as a registered event.
With the assistance and sponsorship of long time development partners Club Marconi and Major Sponsor Balmain Commercial we have been able to put together a program which includes players and officials from all 27 Member Clubs of Southern Districts.
PSS Sports who have been supporting and sponsoring Southern Districts for many years have once again joined us in support for this special event.
The program will commence at 4.30 pm on the 5th July with Mini Soccer games being played on the main stadium right through to the 7.00 pm kick off of the senior match, and again at half time, in the age groups from Grade 5 to Grade 8, with every Member Club represented.
At 7.00pm the big boys will take the field and play in the inaugural;

Liverpool ? Fairfield Challenge
Players and Officials from all 27 Member Clubs will take part in the first of what is to be an annual event to raise funds and awareness to fight the cancer disease that threatens all of our families.
Entry to the stadium will be by a gold coin donation and volunteers will be making their way through the crowd with collection boxes and selling raffle tickets for the draw at the conclusion of the main match prior to the presentation of the cup.
The senior players will be wearing their club shorts and socks to represent their clubs and they will be rewarded by keeping the special playing shirts as a memento of their contribution to the day?s success.
The day is meant to be based on fun and enjoyment of the game while contributing to the funding of research and awareness of the disease within our Soccer Family.
We urge everyone to join in to support this worthwhile community event and to assist the research into finding both a cure and prevention to cancer for everyone.
