Meeting Point
Please arrange for your players, parents and volunteers to meet at a safe meeting point away from the car park.
Ideal locations are:

  • Under the flag posts between Fields 1 & 2
  • In front of the canteen
  • In the picnic area

Event Run-Sheet

    • Registrations commence at information tent.
    • Team managers register at information tent on arrival and collect Gala Day programs and lunch passes for players.

Teams
All teams will comprise of 5 players per team. If you entered a team of 10 players or more then please divide these teams and allocate players to the appropriate games accordingly. If you are short players on the day then players can play in more than one team or we can fill spaces with players from other teams if required.
Due to the differing ages and skill levels we will be flexible on the day with regards to who you allocate to which team.  Please ensure that players are allocated and are playing in the nearest appropriate age category.

  • Category 1 – 6 to 11 years old
  • Category 2 – 12 to 16 years old
  • Category 3 – 17 to 20 years old
  • Category 4 – 20+ years old

Equipment and Playing Gear

  • For safety all players should wear shin pads when playing games (shin pads will be for sale at the Soccer Wearhouse if required).
  • All players MUST wear sports shoes or football boots in games and during activities.
  • Coloured vests will be available from the Tournament Office on the day if teams are not wearing a playing strip.

Games

  • All children?s games (Category 1 & 2) will be played on Field 1 and will be 10 minutes each way
  • All adult games (Category 3 & 4) will play on Field 2 and will be 15 minutes each way
  • Goalkeepers are permitted but not mandatory.
  • Games are to be played in a friendly and enjoyable manner, no scores will be recorded.
  • A team manager or volunteer from one of the teams playing will referee/control the game.
  • Parents and carers are permitted on the field to assist players if and when necessary. 
  • All care should be taken to consider player safety at all times by persons assisting players on the field.
  • If a player appears injured the game is to be stopped until the player is attended to by an appropriate team representative or first aid.

Open Activities

  • Skills and drills activities will be conducted on Field 3 from 9.30am until 12.00pm.
  • These are open to all registered participants during the day and will be run as open events.
  • To participate in an activity, go to the activity and register your interest with the activity coach.
  • Queuing may be necessary as these activities become more popular.
  • Jumping castles and other activities will be operating on the day.
  • Guest players from Sydney FC, National Deaf Football Team and the newly crowned National Champion NSW Cerebral Palsy State team will also be visiting during the day to meet players. These guests will be located near the jumping castles.


Presentations

  • All players are required to attend presentations on Field 1.
  • These will commence at 11.45am starting with the youngest players first and going thru to the Adults.
  • The last game for adults is at 12.30pm, these players will move over to the Presentation area when they have finished their game.
  • All players will receive a participation medal and a showbag.

Lunch

  • All players will receive three (3) free Sausage Sizzle vouchers.  Each voucher will entitle the holder to 1 x sausage on a roll and 1 x drink.
  • Three (3) vouchers are being provided to provide enough vouchers for lunch for the player and two guests (parents/carers etc).
  • The free Sausage Sizzle lunch will be available at the canteen from 11.30am until 1.00pm.

Canteen and Soccer Wearhouse

  • The Canteen and ?Beez Neez? coffee van will be open from 9am until 1.00pm.
  • The Soccer Wearhouse will be open from 9am until 1.00pm.

Safety and First Aid

  • The safety and welfare of players, parents, spectators, visitors, volunteers and staff must be considered and given priority at all times.
  • First Aid will be available on the day and will be located in the area between Fields 1 & 2.
  • Please ensure your players, parents do not congregate or kick balls in the car park at any time during the day.

Information and Volunteers

  • An information tent will be located near the entry to the fields.
  • A volunteer tent will be located near Field 3. 
  • Volunteers are asked to register at the volunteer tent on arrival.
