Rockdale City Suns Under 12s Growing Stronger

Last year they were undefeated Premiers and Grand Final winners.
They were also awarded the best `A` grade team by the St George Association and presented with a shield for their achievement.
Rockdale Juniors prides itself in developing and nurturing young talent. This side still contains five players from the original team which represented St George at the Gold Coast Champions Cup which they won back in 2007.
The boys? other achievements while playing under Rockdale include wining the prestigious Kanga Cup in 2008 and also the Football NSW Gala day in the same year
Many of the boys could have played in the local Metropolitan League but instead chose to stick together at Rockdale and bide their time for the opportunity to play in the NSW Premier Youth League next year
As for this year the team have won all seven rounds of the St George U12A competition as well as progressed to the third round of the State Cup after solid wins over the Marconi Stallions and Stanmore Hawks 3-1 and 6-1 respectively.
The team has had a very busy pre-season build up this year playing no less than five trial games against Metropolitan Representative Teams from Macarthur, Manly, Illawarra, Bankstown and St George achieving positive results with only one close loss.
