Club Championship
While the top two clubs have established a break, it is worth remembering that there is still a long way to go and anything could still happen. History has shown that it is unwise to make rash predictions at this stage of any season.
Central Coast Mariners are still leading the way on this table. They claimed thirteen points when they met tenth placed Dulwich Hill in the first round but they had to settle for twelve points this time around.
Sydney University are in second spot and they had thirteen of the first round points when they faced fourth placed Mounties Wanderers but this time Uni had to be happy with a total of eight points
When Spirit FC last saw Granville Rage the Christie Park lads bagged ten points but Granville turned the tables on them this time when it was their turn to take ten points from the day and that has left Spirit at third and Rage at eighth.
Fraser Park had to settle for three points from their first round encounter with Macarthur Rams but they made up for that this week when they earned ten points from their day?s work. Fraser Park have subsequently climbed one place to fifth while Macarthur dropped two places to seventh.
When they met on the opening day of the season Western NSW Mariners pocketed all fifteen points from their clash with Bankstown Berries but on this occasion Western had to settle for nine points. However, that was enough to allow the Mariners to move up one place to sixth and it has left the Berries in eleventh position.
Northern Tigers grabbed twelve of the first round points when they faced Bankstown City Lions and this week the Tigers took ten points from the same opponents, leaving them at ninth and the Lions are still twelfth.
Grade 13
Interestingly, there are only nine points separating the top six teams and only one of those has a match in hand. Things could become very interesting indeed if some of the next four teams roll their sleeves up and produce a string of good results.
Dulwich Hill are still leading the way on the competition table after they produced a 3-1 victory over Central Coast Mariners who had won the first round clash 3-0. This result has left the Mariners at fourth.
Sydney University remained at second when they were held to a 1-1 draw by third placed Mounties Wanderers. Uni had taken the first round points with a 3-0 result.
Fifth placed Spirit FC had edged out Granville Rage with a 2-1 result in the first round and this week the teams battled out a 2-2 draw, forcing Granville back one place to tenth.
Macarthur Rams remained at sixth after they beat Fraser Park by the odd goal in five and that completed the double for the Rams as they were 2-0 winners in the first round. Fraser Park are still placed eleventh.
Western NSW Mariners had taken the first round points from Bankstown Berries with a 5-0 win but the berries turned the tables on them this week with a 3-0 result, their very first win for the season. That has left the Mariners at seventh and the Berries at thirteenth.
Bankstown City Lions produced a 5-1 first round win over Northern Tigers and the Lions completed the double this week when they were 2-1 winners. Bankstown have climbed one place to ninth and the Tigers are still twelfth.
Grade 14

There are only three points between the top two teams and they have established a bit of a break on the next three teams. It may be worthwhile to keep an eye on the two or three teams just behind the current top five as a few good results could well change the picture before season?s end.
Sydney University are the competition frontrunners after they produced a spectacular 7-0 result over Mounties Wanderers, giving Uni the double as they had won the first round match 4-0. The Wanderers have held onto ninth position.
Central Coast Mariners have remained at second following their 2-0 victory over Dulwich Hill who have dropped back one place to seventh. The teams battled out a scoreless draw last time they met.
Third placed Macarthur Rams had beaten Fraser Park 2-1 in the first round but the account was squared this week when Fraser Parks claimed the points with a 3-0 result and that moved them one place up the table to sixth.
Western NSW Mariners were 4-1 winners last time they saw Bankstown Berries and they completed the double this time with a 2-1 scoreline, an outcome that has left Western at fourth and the Berries dropped two places to twelfth.
Fifth placed Granville Rage claimed the points this week with a 2-0 success over Spirit FC, giving Rage the double as they had won the first round clash 2-1. Granville are placed fifth and Spirit are eighth.
Northern Tigers took the first round points with a 3-1 win over Bankstown City Lions but this week the teams shared the spoils when their match finished at 0-0. the Tigers and the Lions both moved up one place to tenth and eleventh respectively.
Grade 15
While the top two teams have established a mini-break on those following them, there is still a chance that any of the top ten teams could be involved in the finals series but a few of them will need to find some good form immediately if they are to have any real chance.
Sydney University are leading the way on the competition table even though they suffered a 2-1 loss to Mounties Wanderers, reversing the first round outcome when Uni had won 2-0. This result has moved the Wanderers up one place to third.
Central Coast Mariners had beaten Dulwich Hill 4-1 when they met in the first round and they repeated the dose with exactly the same scoreline this time around. This means that Central Coast are still in second spot and Dully are still in twelfth position. This week Matt Bennett opened the scoring for the Mariners in the 19th minute and Sam Dooley made it 2-0 before the interval. Brandon Lemay took the match to 3-0 shortly after the resumption and then Bennett completed his brace to establish a four-goal buffer. Dully converted a penalty kick midway through the second half but it was too little, too late for them as Central Coast had built a mountain too big to climb.
Western NSW Mariners moved up one place to fourth when they were 3-1 winners over Bankstown Berries who have fallen back one place to ninth. Western had claimed the first round points with a 3-2 victory.
Fraser Park fell back two places to fifth when they battled out a scoreless draw with tenth placed Macarthur Rams who had taken all the first round points with a 1-0 scoreline.
Granville Rage had fought out a 1-1 first round draw with Spirit FC but on this occasion Granville earned all the points with a 2-0 victory, Leaving Rage at sixth and Spirit have fallen back one place to eighth.
Northern Tigers climbed two places to seventh thanks to their 3-0 success over eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions and that gives the double to the Tigers as they were 2-1 winners in the first round.
Grade 16
The top team currently has a very useful break but they are sure to be paying close attention to the performance of the teams behind them. At this stage the places second to seventh are separated by a mere six points and that could mean that there will be several changes in the composition of the top five between now and season?s end.
Unbeaten Central Coast Mariners are still the competition frontrunners with a very handy lead after they produced a 1-0 win over ninth placed Dulwich Hill who they had beaten 4-0 the first time around.
Fraser Park moved up one place to second when they were 2-1 winners over eighth placed Macarthur Rams and that gives Fraser park the double as they had won the first round match 5-1.
Sydney University fought out a 1-1 draw with Mounties Wanderers in a first round catch-up match played midweek and then they took all the points on Saturday when the came up with a 1-0 result. That has moved Uni one place up to third and knocked Mounties back one place to sixth.
Spirit FC dropped from second to fourth when they suffered a 3-1 loss to seventh placed Granville Rage, reversing the first round outcome when Spirit had won 1-0.
Northern Tigers had claimed the first round points with a stunning 5-0 result over Bankstown City Lions and they completed the double this week when they won by the odd goal in five. That has pushed the Tigers one place up the table to fifth and left the Lions at tenth.
Western NSW Mariners had taken the points with a 2-1 first round victory over Bankstown Berries but the accounts were squared this week when the Berries claimed a 3-1 win, an outcome sees the teams swap places with the Berries going up to eleventh and Western dropping back to twelfth.
Grade 18
With only ten points separating the top nine teams, this competition is really sitting on a razor?s edge. Everyone will be very aware that the slightest slip-up could prove to be very costly indeed. This inevitably means that the quality of play will step up at least a notch as all the teams give their all to achieving the best possible outcome from every game from this point onward.
Western NSW Mariners moved up one place to the top of the table when they posted a 3-1 win over Bankstown Berries who have fallen back one place to tenth. Western had taken the first round points, also with a 3-1 result.
NSWIS have slipped back to second spot after their Round 11 match against Central Coast Mariners was postponed.
Central Coast Mariners had won their first round clash with Dulwich Hill 2-0 and they completed the double this week with a 3-2 result. That has left the Mariners at third while Dully are still twelfth.
Sydney University climbed from eighth to third when they registered a 2-0 win over Mounties Wanderers in a Round 1 catch-up match played midweek and then Uni battled out a thrill-a-minute 4-4 draw with the same opponents on Saturday. That outcome actually allowed the Wanderers to move up one place to ninth.
Northern Tigers slipped back one place to fifth even though they registered a 5-1 success over twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions who the Tigers had beaten 4-0 the first time around.
Spirit FC dropped back one place to sixth despite their 4-1 victory over eleventh placed Granville Rage who had gone down by the odd goal in five last time they saw Spirit.
