Bankstown City FC hosting AMO Cup this Saturday

Headlining the tournament will be the reigning Victorian Premiers: Box Hill United Pythagoras FC. Box Hill are arguably the strongest women’s football side outside of the W-League, with the team containing New Zealand international Grace Vincent, Turkish international Seyma Erenli, and several Melbourne Victory W-League players including Tal Karp and Deanna Niceski.
The Victorians will find tough NSW opposition in the form of the inaugural women’s team of Bankstown City FC (WSL) and newly promoted Northern Tigers FC (WPL).
With former Marconi playmaker Gustavo Cerro at the helm promising an expansive, curriculum based ‘tiki-taka’ football, Bankstown City FC been able to recruit a talented side containing the likes of captain Samantha Muscat, Ashley Kirby and promising youngsters Georgia Klapos and Amy Dahdah.
Newly promoted Northern Tigers FC are one of the most successful youth development clubs in NSW, and their young and talent squad will be aiming for a successful pre-season tournament to prepare them for their 2013 Women’s Premier League season.
Entry to Jensen Park (at Clapham Road, Sefton) is free and the senior football will begin from 1pm. Bankstown City and Northern Tigers youth teams will commence play from 9am.
