St George FC stage successful season launc

St George FC welcomed in the new football season with their season launch on Wednesday evening at the venue of their new major sponsor, the Kogarah Hotel.
With just three days to go before  the commencement of the Supa IGA NSW National Premier Leagues Mens 2 competition, and two weeks before the Women’s State League starts, the club presented the jerseys to the squads for the Men’s Under 18s, Under 20s and Senior teams as well as Senior Women’s squad.
The launch was attended by special guests Frank Farina and Terry McFlynn from Sydney FC, Matilda’s coach Hesterine de Reus as well as Sydney FC’s W-League championship winner and local product, Teresa Polias.
St George also unveiled the respective captains for the year, for each squad:
Mens
Under 18s – Lucas Grey
Under 20s – Johnathan Kontalis
Seniors – Juan Carlos Chavez
Womens
Seniors – Lauren Gardner
St George FC open the season against Bankstown Berries this Sunday at St George Stadium with the Women’s State League kicking off on Sunday April 7, against UNSW Lions, also at St George Stadium.
