Twenty three players from the Women’s Premier and Women’s State League competition were the latest participants to attended a female grassroots certificate targeting female coaches.
The session was hosted by Football NSW Game Development Manager Hayley Todd, Game Development Officer Renee Rollason and the Nepean District Soccer Football Association’s Football Manager James Rankine, at Cook Park St Marys on Thursday 13th June.
This course provided the up and coming coaches representing five different clubs the necessary tools to create a fun environment for players, one in which they can learn to play with the ball and hopefully build a lifelong love of the game.
Todd was delighted with what has been a well-received process which has up-skilled coaches wishing to fine tune their skills.
“Over 40 elite female players have attended the female grassroots courses in 2013 and we are really looking forward to providing further coach education opportunities for female players.
“It’s great to hear positive feedback regarding these seminars with many coaches implementing what they’ve learned to their respective teams.”
