The Young Socceroos will be visiting Club Marconi to conduct specialised training sessions next week.

This is due to their preparation for the 2014 Under 20’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the end of the year.

The team will be using Marconi Stadium as their training facility for Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 February.

This will be followed by a friendly exhibition match next Wednesday night when the Young Socceroos take on the Marconi Stallions at Marconi Stadium.

Young Socceroos Head Coach Paul Okon was looking forward to the up and coming months.

“This is an important 8 months for us as we prepare for our World Cup qualifiers in October this year.”

“We have chosen Club Marconi because we wanted to have our training camps in Sydney, and the facilities at Marconi Stadium offer us the opportunity to do this.”

When asked about the main aim for conducting these training camps, Okon explained that it’s about further developing their structure and playing style.

“Our aim for the training camp is to continue to develop our structure and playing style, and to end the camp with a game against Marconi Stallions.”

The Young Socceroos v Marconi Stallions will kick of 6:45pm at Marconi Stadium this Wednesday 19 February. Gates open at 6pm and it is a free entry event. For more information contact Club Marconi on 9822 3333.
