SAP Gala Day success at Goulburn
Excellent weather greeted the participants of the SAP Gala Day at Cookbundoon Sporting Complex at Goulburn as teams from Western NSW, Southern NSW, Riverina (Albury-Wodonga, Griffith, Wagga Wagga), Capital Football and the Central Coast Mariners Academy played non-competitive matches in what was a fantastic weekend for regional football.
Approximately 30 teams played across the 8 pitches, with all teams getting in 3 games.
Players were treated to a free breakfast at the GreenGrocer Café to start the day before playing matches which were played with good spirit and keeping in the protocols and guidelines of the Skill Acquisition Program.
In addition to the football action for the Under 9’s/10’s/11’s, Football NSW Coach Education Manager, Oscar Gonzalez also put through a little over 12 participants through a Grassroots Expo, adding to the growing list of centres that have hosted a Grassroots Expo.
