School teachers kicking goals

Fresh from Timmy Cahill’s incredible goal against the Netherlands in the Socceroos’ World Cup match at Porto Alegre has come the news that 18 excited school teachers have gotten into the football spirit having attended and completed five hours of professional learning at the Hebersham Public School.

As part of the NSW Department of Education’s ‘Teachers Professional Learning’ scheme and in conjunction with Football NSW, all teachers completed the special course covering the Grassroots curriculum, learning styles, formations and of course the laws of the game. School football has come through leaps and bounds as well over 50,000 players are currently registered playing regular football.

Representatives from Blackheath, Bourke Street, Canley Heights, Canterbury, Dalmeny, Doonside, East Hills, Emu Plains, Greenacre, Lethbridge Park, McCallums Hill, Meadowbank, Quakers Hill East, Roseville and Wallacia Public Schools all converged at Hebersham Public School getting amongst all things football.
