Sutherland Shire kids take part at AFC Asian Cup

018

The success of the Socceroos at the AFC Asian Cup was also shared with many of the Sutherland Shire association players who worked hard as either ball kids or flag bearers for the games at Stadium Australia.
The highlight for one of ball kids, Josh Aston, was the honour of taking the AFC Asian Cup to the presentation dais after the Socceroos thrilling 2-1 extra-time win over Korea Republic.
Josh is a long time servant with the Barden Ridgebacks, as well as a former Regional Youth League representative and will again be playing this season in the 18A’s.
Overall, these kids proudly represented not only the Sutherland Shire Football Association but their Clubs – Caringbah Redbacks, Cronulla Seagulls, Barden Ridgebacks, Miranda Magpies, Loftus Rovers, Como, Gymea and Sutherland Sharks.
Hoping that the success and enjoyment of the Socceroos win will be reflected throughout the 2015 football season in the Sutherland Shire.

Ball kids that took part in the Cup included:
Josh Aston, Luisa Palisi, Jack Burrows, Karlee Hildebrandt, Sophie Callaghan, Evan McQuart, Tiarne Schuman, Keira Parnell and Nathan Parnell.

Flag bearers that took part in the Cup included:
Jacinta Di Stefano, Chris Treadwell, Kyle Farries, Alana Farries, Jordan Farries, Amy Crowe, Sophie Crowe, Mark Woods, Matilda Woods, Gabriel Ferrazano, Anthony Palisi, Lachlan Zdebski, Nathan Braczek, and Ashlee Brydon.
