Granville Districts Soccer Football Association side Rouse Hill Rams recently hosted a monumental MiniRoos Gala Day as over 500 participants from Under 6, 7, 8 and 9 age groups enjoyed what was a carnival like atmosphere at Centenary Park last Sunday.

Football was on the main menu as players enjoyed the world game via shooting, dribbling and juggling challenges with the help of a few special guests which included Football NSW Development Officers as well as Sydney FC’s W-League star Olivia Price and Western Sydney Wanderers representation also.

Lucky participants received prizes for participating and challenging themselves in beating their personal best records while volunteer referees also got in on the act as they took part in various challenges as well as assisting in giving out prizes to each player.

GDSFA Director of MiniRoos Graeme Carrett was appreciative of the efforts that were displayed on the day.

“What an awesome day it was for one and all who participated in the GDSFA Miniroos Football Gala Day.

“I would like to thank the coaches and managers for a sterling job they have done throughout the 2016 season in helping to develop their teams in this wonderful game of football.

“Thank you to the parents for allowing your child to play within the GDSFA and spending quality time with your child while learning to play this great game plus taking them to their weekend games.

“Let’s be honest, the smiles on their faces and stories they tell you about the games is all worth it.

“Thank you to Football NSW and the Western Sydney Wanderers for running their community development program and also Olivia Price from Sydney FC and the Westfield Matildas for presenting the medals

“Thank you to Ezzy Bros for the donation of goodies for the show bags.

“A big shout out to the host club Rouse Hill Rams for ensuring this Gala Day ran so smoothly, and thank you to the volunteers, instructing team leader and of course your Committee.”
