Female Football Week announced for 2017

PBL7903

With the continual success and boom of the women’s game, Football NSW is proud to announce that Female Football Week will once again take shape for 2017 on Wednesday 8th of March running on till Sunday the 19th of March.

Throughout this time Football NSW will be running various programs and promotions to support women in Football! From Coaching Courses, School programs, Referees courses and Football clinics, the week will be dedicated to females and their opportunities within Football.

Female Football Week is a fantastic initiative that celebrates and promotes opportunities available to girls and women to participate in football.

It also provides an opportunity for football stakeholders to celebrate the immense growth of the women’s game and recognise existing players, coaches, referees, administrators responsible for this success.

With the recent success of our Westfields Matildas at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, there is no guess why our growth in female participation rates have increased from 21.5% in 2015 to 22.3% in 2016.
Your support within Associations and Clubs are vital to the growth and success of Female Football Week, and without you we would not be able to deliver such a fantastic initiative.

Football NSW would like to thank you all for your ongoing support and we are excited to work with all clubs and participants again to deliver what we hope will be our biggest Female Football Week to date in 2017.

Football NSW are currently compiling a list of possible activations to celebrate and drive female participation during the 2017 Female Football Week and would appreciate your assistance in completing the Jotform.
