Southern Districts host successful Girls Come and Try Gala Day

Southern Districts Soccer Football Association recently hosted a well-attended ‘Girls Come and Try’ Gala Day that had as many as 70 girls take part in what was a magnificent day in line with this year’s Female Football Week.
Southern Districts female football side took part in assisting with the coaching as all girls were put through all four core skills as well as receiving Female Football Week giveaways.
Western Sydney Wanderers’ Westfield W-League stars Helen Petinos and Sarah Yatim also took part in the festivities signing autographs and taking photos while Football NSW Coach Education Manager Oscar Gonzalez ran a special grassroots coaching course for 30 participants.
