Football NSW Statement: Sydney FC v Sydney United 58 FC

Football NSW is currently investigating incidents which arose during and shortly after the PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1 match between Sydney FC and Sydney United 58 FC at Lambert Park on Saturday, 22 April 2017.

Football NSW takes very seriously allegations of unacceptable behaviour by spectators at its matches.

Football NSW is investigating the matter in accordance with the 2017 Football NSW Grievance & Disciplinary Regulations and is currently collecting evidence from a variety of sources. 

Football NSW has also asked both clubs to provide information in relation to the incidents and both clubs are co-operating.

All attendees of Football NSW matches are reminded that they are bound by the FFA/Football NSW Spectator Code of Behaviour and the 2017 Football NSW Grievance & Disciplinary Regulations and that significant sanctions apply for breaches of those regulation.  Clubs are reminded that they may be held liable for the actions of their spectators and sanctions may include fines and the loss of competition points.

As the matter is currently under investigation, Football NSW will not be making any further comments in relation to this matter for the time being.
