In a first for NSW, Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA) have teamed up with a local early child learning centre to deliver the ALDI MiniRoos “Kick-Off” Program.

The program will be delivered to the children at the Teenie Weenies Early Learning Centre in Panania and the six-week development program will be the most for many of the children attending the facility.

“The Kick-Off Program is aimed at children as young as three years to give them their first taste of what football is all about.

“I thought it would be a great opportunity to run the program at a facility that the children are already at,” explained BDAFA General Manager, Shane Merry.

The program will run each Thursday commencing on the 13th of July with the children anticipating what will be a fantastic opportunity in the continual development the game.

“I was thrilled when the Association first approached me about it. I put it out to the parents and we had an overwhelming response.

“It’s value for money and it’s a great activity for the children to participate in during their time at Teenie Weenies.

“We’ve already had enquiries about running it on different days all year round,” commented Centre Director, Marie Farrugia.

The children will have a qualified coach and will receive a goodies bag including a ball, drink bottle and an ALDI lunchbox.
