ALDI MiniRoos success in Bankstown

Bankstown District Amateur Football Association in accordance with Football NSW, has successfully completed the first early development ALDI Miniroos Kick-Off program.

The six-week program, which was held at Teenie Weenies Early Learning Centre, focused on developing football motor skills among youngsters under the age of five.

Essentially, the purpose of the program is to create a clear pathway to prepare the children for their first game of football.

BDAFA General Manager, Shane Merry, couldn’t be happier with the outcomes of the inaugural program and is looking forward to the seeing it develop further in the future.

“The program was very successful with the young children developing key motor skills for football and for many it was the first time they’ve had training with a qualified coach,” Mr Merry said.

“The coach noted that she was quite excited to see the improvement of the children since the start of the program. We will be commencing the second program shortly in the coming weeks with many parents commenting on how much their children loved the weekly activity.

“The children will now be given the opportunity to participate in BDAFA’s Summer Football Program which will further increase their football skills in anticipation that many of them will play their first game of football come April 2018”.
