Vale – Andrew Encinas
Last Tuesday 7th November the BDAFA community tragically lost Andrew Encinas who is a member of the East Bankstown Football Club and formally with Padstow Hornets Football Club. Andrew died due to the incident that occurred at the Banksia Rd Public School.
Andrew was 9 years old.
Andrew was a keen footballer and loved the world game like no other. If he wasn’t playing the game, he was watching his beloved Real Madrid on television.
Andrew died alongside his good mate Jihad Darwiche and Andrew had recently been sharing his love of football with Jihad and no doubt had been trying to get him to play as well.
Andrew was farewelled by many family, friends and members of the community. Many people in attendance wore their favourite football team’s jersey, scarf or t-shirt. This is exactly what Andrew would have wanted.
On behalf of the BDAFA and Football NSW community we would like to offer our sincere condolences to both the Encinas and Darwiche family on their loss. They will never be forgotten.
