Futsal Competitions Review Update
Football NSW has commenced a Futsal Competitions Review to improve and facilitate long-term growth of the Football NSW Futsal Competitions.
The Futsal Competitions Review was split into two parts, Part 1 reviewed the structure of the Futsal Competitions, while Part 2 (which will commence shortly) will review Coach, Referee and Club Development, as well as Player Pathways in NSW.
Clubs were invited to make submissions on key issues with the current Football NSW Futsal Competitions, while providing any recommendations or further suggestions regarding the structure, policy and regulation of the Competitions.
A working group was established to review the submissions put forward, along with reviewing current registration data and drawing on their own experiences with the Football NSW Futsal Competitions.
The working group put forward recommendations regarding the competition structure to the Board of Football NSW, who have resolved the competition structure for the Football NSW Futsal Competitions from the 2018/19 Season onwards.
Included in this document are the key changes to the competition structures. Information surrounding the application process and criteria for entry into the 2018/19 Futsal Competitions will be released on Wednesday, 9 May 2018, with the Leagues for the 2018/19 Futsal Competitions set to be declared on Wednesday, 30 May 2018.
