Hazelbrook FC’s bouncing football4all success

Blue-Kanga

Hazelbrook Football Club have ignited the flare for inclusion into the West, with the Blue Kanagroos football4all side taking over Gloria Park in Hazelbrook with the help of Football NSW’s inclusion officer Charlotte Ercil.

The Blue Kangaroos are supported by local club Hazelbrook Football Club, under the Nepean Football Association.

Over the weekend Charlotte braved the cooling temperatures, and made the trip to Blue Mountains to visit the Kangaroos’ Saturday morning session.

The session hosts 30 participants, ranging in ages from four years old, to older participants at 40 years of age, allowing individuals from a vast demographic to engage with the program.

The program is led by Lisa Cairns, Bronwyn Couch, Sarah Keenahan and Andy Lonsdale, who volunteer their time every weekend for the program.  Both Lisa and Bronwyn have done an exceptional job at creating a supportive environment for participants, and also their families.

The Blue Kangaroos are one of many Football NSW clubs who are aligned with football4all, a program dedicated to the inclusion of all individuals despite disabilities or barriers. On the 1st of July 2018 Football NSW will be hosting the annual football4all Gala Day, supported by Nova Employment which this year will mark it’s 10th anniversary.
