Football NSW Statement: Scheduling of Matches this Saturday

With Saturday’s Socceroos match scheduled for an 8pm kick-off, there has been talk around the grounds of why games have not been moved etc.

Football NSW’s position is that if both clubs agree, we will assist in moving the fixture.
If the home club are not in a position to move the fixture, then the fixture will remain as scheduled.

It is unfortunate, however, Clubs do not have unlimited access to facilities and are likely restricted in their movements hence their inability to move.

This is evident with synthetic pitch access, which is at an absolute premium and very difficult to reschedule.

Rest assured a number of clubs across all our NPL competitions have however locked in their fixture changes for their games on Saturday so please check out the fixture pages for the respective leagues for an updated schedule listing.
