Football NSW has today released details regarding the 2020 Youth (Under 18s and below) Competitions concerning the NPL NSW Boys/Girls (U13-18), Association Youth League (U13-U16), Girls Conference League (U14-U17) and Skill Acquisition Program for both Boys and Girls.

When the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the temporary suspension of football in March earlier this year, youth competitions administered by Football NSW were at various stages with some having played a small number of rounds and one yet to commence.

After the temporary suspension of football was announced, management worked with Clubs to understand the feasibility for Clubs to continue to deliver football into the Spring months of this year.

The feedback received indicated there was a strong desire to recommence Youth and Skill Acquisition Programs Competitions in line with Government/FFA Policy.

In recognition of the feedback received and in line with the NSW Government’s recent announcement that sport for those aged 18 years and under could recommence from 1 July 2020, the following Competition structures have been put in place:

  1. NPL NSW Boys’ Youth (U13-U18):
  1. Association Youth League (U13-U16):
  1. NPL NSW Girls’ Youth (U14 – U17):
  1. Girls’ Conference League (U14-U17):
  1. Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) and Girls’ Skill Acquisition Program (Girls’ SAP):

Please Note: Football NSW today received a return to play date for adult sport from the NSW Government and we are working to provide an update on the FNSW Senior Competition Structures in line with this announcement as soon as possible.
