Football NSW, Sutherland FA and FFA join forces for Coach Development event

Sutherland Shire Football Association’s Harrie Denning Soccer Centre played host to Football NSW and the FFA’s South Zone Coaching Expo.

The Sutherland Shire Football Association joined forces with Football NSW and the FFA to deliver the rescheduled Coaching Expo for the 50 coaches in attendance all hailing from community and NPL NSW Clubs.

Coaches were treated to sessions from Football NSW Coach Development Manager Chris Adams, Kevin Grima and Debbie Fisher, Youth development managers from the FFA .

Sessions ranged in topics from Physical Literacy for SAP coaches thorough to topics for keeping teenage female footballers engaged in football and the GIG methodology for the game training phase.

“This Expo was great to see 3 pillars of the football community in the Association, member federation and FFA joining forces to support coaches within their own footprint and shows what can be done when we all work together,” said Adams.

Football NSW would like to thank SSFA Football Manager Jon Long for helping to reschedule the event and also the SSFA board and staff for ensuring the event was COVID Safe for all attendees.
