Hills United throws its support behind the Cancer Council’s “Balls for Balls” campaign

Hills United FC based in ‘The Hills’ in Sydney’s Western Suburbs leading the way and supporting the Cancer Council’s “Balls for Balls” 

Hills United FC a representative National Premier Leagues NSW club based in The Hills came together and raised money for Cancer Councils ‘ Balls For Balls presenting Cancer Council a cheque for $22,840.00

The club ran a fundraising campaign for just over 6 weeks and on Thursday 13th May 2021 hosted an event called The Best of The Best juggling event with their players and made a presentation to Cancer Council at their club grounds Russell Reserve, Rouse Hill surrounded by their players & families.

President Tristan Rimmer was blown away by the club involvement and was very proud of the efforts of the boys and girls who helped raise this substantial amount of money, which came from Vice President Mr David Wall & Administrator Katie Ryan who were the driving force behind this campaign.

“The campaign was great for our players and club – it promoted cancer awareness which has all touched us all in someway. Above all, it encouraged them to raise money for a most important cause,” said Rimmer.

Cancer Council NSW community coordinator Denise Daynes said Hills United has really impressed her with the efforts made & have done a “fantastic job” leading the way for ‘The Hills’

“It is so refreshing to see Hills United FC get behind this and jump on board with this fund-raising campaign. Most importantly, they are making a difference and saving people’s lives,” Daynes ended.
