Football NSW has acknowledged the amazing support our football family receives from our generous volunteers who continually dedicate their time in ensuring our game continues week to week in line with National Volunteer Week kicking off today.

Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers, the week will see the celebration of the important role volunteers play in the football community.

For without our amazing and dedicated volunteers there quite simply is no game at all.

From coaches, referees, administrators, team managers and volunteers keeping canteens running as well as marking football fields and so much more, these superstars are our Champions.

Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas heaped praise on our volunteer warriors who quite simply are the lifeblood of our sport.

“I want to pay a special tribute in acknowledging and saying thanks to our hard working, passionate and dedicated volunteers who have contributed so much towards our game – they really are our heroes on and off the park.

“Our volunteers freely give up their time to ensure our game continues week in week out and for that we need to pay our utmost respect to each and everyone of them.”
