Over 50 regional coaches took part in Football NSW’s recent Coach Development Expos which hit Dubbo and Bathurst on the 17-18 July.

With a focus on the inclusion of goalkeepers and support from the Principles of Play, the Expos were led by Football NSW’s Coach Education Manager, Chris Adams, and Regional Football Development Manager, Andrew Fearnley, with FNSW TSP/State Team Goalkeeper Coach, Bryce Deaton, assisting with the delivery.

The Expos allowed coaches with advanced licences to attain 10 CPD Points while providing a great opportunity for coaches to be involved in both theory and practical sessions to assist with their own development.

“It was pleasing to see the range of coaches from varied levels within the football landscape attend and be engaged in the workshops,” said Fearnley.

“As part of our overall Regional Football Development Plan, these workshops are important to bring to regional coaches who are an important part of our coaching network.”

Adams added, “it was great to see not only the turnout for these sessions but also the engagement from the coaches in attendance.”

“This shows the thirst for continuous coach development opportunities as well as formal courses within regional NSW and we look forward to building on these sessions further.”

The coach development team are back on the road in the coming weeks delivering further expos at the below locations.
