Female Coach Education

In support of Football Australia’s mission of ‘Better Coaches, Better Football’, Football NSW is committed to increasing the competency and capability of female coaches across the state. Below are some of the initiatives available to female coaches.

Female Coaches Network – Community

The Football NSW Female Coaches Network – Community offers a unique environment that aims to support female Community coaches throughout their coaching journey by providing guidance, best-practice session plans, networking opportunities and access to regular coaching updates.

Throughout the year, Football NSW will host several events, workshops and initiatives in various formats to assist our coaches in building confidence, enhancing their skillset and providing a safe space to share experiences.

If you are a Community Coach and wish to engage with likeminded coaches while being upskilled, this network is for you.

Female Coaching Scholarships

Football NSW is committed to support female coaches and offers several Female Coaching Scholarships each year for committed candidates to develop their own personal skills, knowledge and experience through the attainment of formal advanced coaching qualifications.

At Football NSW we recognise the life and leadership experiences female coaches have to offer the wider football community. They also have attributes that can contribute to a more diverse experience from a player development perspective.

Female Coaching Scholarships are available for Female Coaches (aged 18 or over) currently working in a club either within the FNSW National Premier League Women’s, FNSW League One Women’s, FNSW Girls Youth League and SAP/GSAP or in the Football NSW Association environment.

Coaching scholarships for females for 2023 and 2024 will be issued thanks to the NSW Government’s Legacy Program. Click here for more information and to apply.
