This form must be completed by Football NSW member clubs and Associations only and is required for any affiliated club teams comprising of FNSW registered participants travelling outside of Australia. The Overseas Tour form must be completed and submitted to FNSW a minimum of 8 weeks prior to travel. Appropriate Inoculations pertaining to the country being toured must be administered. Appropriate Visas must be obtained. Overseas travel must be sanctioned by FNSW for any applicable FNSW insurances to apply to the registered players and officials travelling as part of the official sanctioned team/s.

Insurance Information

The Football NSW Insurance Programme extends to cover insured players and officials whilst overseas for representative and/or club matches as long as all players and officials are registered with the Club and the tour is officially sanctioned by Football NSW and the Host Federation.

Although the policy covers persons whilst overseas, it is recommended that Travel Insurance be affected for all players and officials to complement the cover provided, ensuring that the Travel Insurance extends to include participation in football and football matches.

Travel Insurance policies generally provide high limits of medical expense coverage as well as other covers such as baggage, money, loss of deposits, emergency assistance etc. If required, Gow-Gates can arrange travel insurance for the touring party which complements the existing Sports Injury coverage and does not exclude injuries resulting from Football.

Noting that no coverage is provided for:

Any pre-existing defect, infirmity or sickness the insured person suffered from at the time of the accident
Self-infliction
War and terrorism
Aerial activities
Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Criminal acts
Psychiatric or psychological disorder
Contamination by radioactivity
Sickness, disease or disorder of any kind
Injuries which occur outside the policy period
Pregnancy or related complications
