Ron Garvin Rewarded as Football NSW Life Member

Having been involved with football for over an amazing 45-years, Western Branch based official Ron Garvin was made a Football NSW Life Member on Saturday 15 December during the Annual General Meeting.

Coaching various Western Branch sides and winning various Country and State Championships with his respective squads, Garvin was also instrumental in providing further pathways for country footballers.

Garvin also successfully held a position as Secretary of Western Branch from 1995 to 1998 and was also the President and Chairman of Western Branch from 1998 to 2007.

A number of honours came Garvin’s way as he received a Football NSW State Award in 2003 for his commitment and dedication to football in NSW while he also helped create positions of Regional Coaching Manager and Administrative Officer in Western Branch.

An outstanding Administrator and Committee member, Ron was also a Western Branch delegate and State Board member for 3 years from 1992 to 2002.
