Football NSW Celebrates 2024 National Volunteer Week
Football NSW has acknowledged the remarkable support our football family receives from our hard-working volunteers who constantly dedicate their time in ensuring our game continues in line with National Volunteer Week kicking off today.
Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers, the week will showcase the celebration of the important role volunteers play in the wider football community that makes our sport so special.
For without our incredible and devoted volunteers there quite simply is no game at all.
From coaches, referees, administrators, team managers and volunteers keeping canteens running as well as marking football fields and so much more, these superstars are our Champions.
Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas honoured our valued volunteer superstars who truly are the legends of our code.
“Every week we see thousands of dedicated volunteers, committed administrators, and mums and dads giving their time to ensure our players of all ages can enjoy playing the beautiful game.
“Volunteers are the lifeblood of our game – the grassroots appeal of our game would not be what it is without their passion for the sport and undying commitment to their local club and community”.
Volunteering Australia have continued its promotion on volunteers spruiking their theme in 2024, ‘Something for Everyone’.
National Volunteer Week 2024 will recognise the diverse passions and talents everyone brings to the act of volunteering.
It’s an invitation to explore the myriad of opportunities available, emphasising that there’s a place for everyone in the world of volunteering. Whether you’re drawn to environmental causes, community outreach, education, or beyond, there’s a place where your unique skills and interests can flourish.
