Craig McCallum Appointed Interim Referees Manager
McCallum?s appointment is scheduled for a four month period where he will help oversee all news and views surrounding referees within the NSW state.
?I?m really excited with the prospect of working with Football NSW especially with the fact that they?ve taken full responsibility of the referees in this state as of the 1st of January.
?I?m here to ease the process as best I can and cannot wait for the venture to begin.?
The 55-year-old is an active referee with the Sutherland Shire Branch so his knowledge as a whistleblower has been seen as highly valuable.
?I?ve been a referee on and off since 1991 and I?ve been fortunate enough to have given something back to the game I love.?
McCallum himself was the immediate past President of the Sutherland Shire Junior Football Association, a former President of the Bonnet Bay Soccer Club and has been a successful businessman in a number of enterprises for the last 30 years.
