Football NSW Talent Search Programs are School Holiday Coaching Camps that form the foundation of the FNSW Pathways Program. These camps are the first step for players to be identified and introduced to the FNSW System.
One player who can attest to this is Vincent Giannini. Vincent has recently returned from Malaysia where he represented Australia as part of the very first U13 Boys National Team. Vincent was identified at a FNSW TSP Camp held at Ashfield in July 2008 by expert FNSW Staff. From this TSP camp Vincent was recommended to attend four guest training sessions with NSW State coaches along with 50 other boys and girls identified at camps across Sydney at this time. At the completion of these guest sessions Vincent had performed well enough to be encouraged to trial for the Metro East U12s team to compete at NSW State Titles. Another good performance at this tournament led to identification and selection for the Sydney East Johnny Warren Football Foundation Program for U13 boys. Vincent worked intensively with FNSW Sydney East Area Manager Kory Babington in this off season program and was again rewarded when he selected into the FNSW U13 Boys State team that competed at the FFA National Youth Championships in April 2009. Under the guidance of FNSW State Coaches Tim Wilson and Alex Butt, Vincent and his team went on to win the tournament undefeated and with no goals scored against. Vincent and several of his teammates were identified to trial for the inaugural U13 Australian Boys team and after an intensive selection camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra Vincent was eventually selected into the Australian U13 Boys team. Vincent shared this honour with fellow NSW teammates Brandon Lundy, Kevin Ly, Noah Chianese, Richard Blanco and Jordan Nadalin. Vincent has recently returned from a successful tournament in Malaysia where he contributed to a successful tournament playing a pivotal role in the centre of midfield for the Australian Boys and scoring 5 goals along the way. It has been a busy road for Vincent and his family during the last 12 months; a road along which FNSW wish Vincent all the best as he continues his journey.
FNSW TSP camp runs for 12 hours (4 sessions x 3 hours) held during school holidays for boys and girls aged 5 to 13 years. This is an excellent chance to be identified by Football NSW staff.  At each camp all players receive:

  • 12 hours of expert instructions from highly accredited coaches
  • Soccer Ball
  • T-Shirt
  • Certificate
  • Home Training Program
  • Drinks during camp
  • Player insurance
  • Skills testing
  • Each player receives a report with results from tests conducted
  • 10 week personalized home training program to work on throughout the school term

Players identified from their camp receive 4 x 60min guest sessions with FNSW State coaches and at the conclusion of these sessions FNSW will form a squad from these identified players to play friendly games against FNSW Development Squads. The cost is $155 per player; second player is $135 at the family rate (including GST).
