Football NSW Premier League Players take Arrive alive road safety message to Liverpool Girls Public School

What?s Your Best Defence is a joint program developed by the MAA and Football NSW where elite female players deliver a road safety presentation to female students in Years 10-12 followed by a football skills clinic.
Young females are an important audience for the MAA as they more likely to be injured as passengers rather than drivers and this program includes discussions of passenger safety scenarios and personal stories from the elite football players.
A key message in the program is encouraging young women to speak up if they feel unsafe when the driver is taking risks on the road.
Chief Executive Officer, Michael Quarmby said Football NSW was proud to be a partner in this very beneficial community program.
?We want female passengers to speak up if they feel unsafe in a car and also to be a ‘good’ passenger by helping the driver concentrate on the driving.?
