Division One Youth League Round 3 Review

We were indeed fortunate that all the games could go ahead this weekend after last week?s rain .
It still a bit early to be paying too much attention to the tables as they are only beginning to take shape.
That point is made by the huge number of movements on each table this week.
Club Championship
Camden Tigers started day as the leaders on this table and they were to travel to seventh placed St George. However, when the Saints took nine points from the day they moved up to sixth and the Tigers dropped back to third.
Stanmore Hawks came into this round only one point behind the frontrunners in second spot and they faced the journey to eighth placed Southern Branch. Picking up twelve points from this round boosted the Hawks up to the top spot on the table and left Southern in last place.
Starting the day one point astern of the Hawks, Fraser Park were third and they had to face up to fourth placed Hakoah who were four points further back. Fraser Park bagged eleven points from the encounter and they have risen to second place while Hakoah are now eighth.
After two rounds Hurstville City Minotaurs were in fifth place before they visited tenth placed Hills Brumbies. When the Brumbies earned nine points this week they moved up to ninth and the Minotaurs stayed at fifth.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers found themselves in sixth spot before they played host to ninth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic. The Rangers climbed to fourth when they earned six points from Magic who used the nine points share to rise to seventh.
Springwood United had the bye this week and they remained at tenth.
Grade 13
As the only team in this age group to have the ideal start of two wins from as many games Mt Druitt Town Rangers came into this game as the competition leaders while Gladesville Ryde Magic were fourth with a bye and a win so far. The Rangers came unstuck this week when they slipped back to third after they went down 2-1 to Magic who have remained at fourth.
Stanmore Hawks kicked off this week?s game in second spot after they had posted a win and a draw while Southern Branch were ninth after a loss and a bye. The Hawks went to the top of the table with a 3-0 victory that dropped southern back to eleventh.
A win and a draw had placed Fraser Park third at kick-off time while Hakoah had recorded a win and a loss to be in seventh position. Fraser Park climbed to second when they were 3-0 winners, a result that sent Hakoah back to eighth.
St George started the day in fifth place thanks to a win and a loss while Camden Tigers had registered a similar result and they were sixth on goal difference. The Saints remained at fifth despite their 3-1 win while the Tigers are now seventh.
After posting draws in the opening games Hills Brumbies arrived at this game in eighth place while Hurstville City Minotaurs were eleventh after they suffered losses in both their previous games. The Brumbies posted their first win with a 3-0 scoreline and they rose to sixth while the Minotaurs fell back to twelfth.
Tenth placed Springwood United had the bye this week.
Grade 14
Hurstville City Minotaurs had won their first two matches and that was enough to allow them to come into this round at the top of the table while Hills Brumbies were in second spot thanks to a win and a draw. The Minotaurs continued their good form with a 3-1 success and that has kept them at the top of the tree while the Brumbies are now sixth.
Stanmore Hawks came into this game in third place with a win and draw while Southern Branch were fifth after a win and a bye. When Southern came up with a 2-0 win they moved into third place and the Hawks slipped back to seventh.
Gladesville Ryde Magic began the day in fourth position after a bye and a win while Mt Druitt Town Rangers were sixth following a win and a loss. The Rangers claimed the points with a 4-0 result and they moved into second spot and Magic tumbled back to eighth,
Camden Tigers arrived at this game in seventh spot after they had posted a win and a loss while St George had a draw and a loss from their two matches and they were ninth. When this game ended as a scoreless draw the Tigers went back to seventh and the Saints remained at ninth.
Fraser Park were eighth at kick-off time thanks to a draw and a loss while Hakoah were tenth after losing both their opening games. Fraser Park registered their first three-pointer of the season when they won 3-1 and that moved them up to fourth while Hakoah are still tenth.
Eleventh placed Springwood United had the bye this week.
Grade 15
The stage was set for a very interesting top-of-the-table clash as both Hakoah and Fraser Park had won both their games so far with Hakoah starting this game with a slight edge on goal difference. When this match finished in a 2-2 draw both teams stayed exactly where they were on the table.
Camden Tigers were placed third at kick-off time following a win and a draw and St George were eighth after they had registered a loss and a draw. The Saints dropped to tenth after they held the Tigers to a 2-2 draw, an outcome that slipped Camden back to fourth.
Stanmore Hawks came into this game at fourth after they had a win and a loss while Southern Branch were tenth with a loss and a bye. The Hawks jumped into third place with a stunning 8-0 victory that saw Southern fall back to eleventh.
Springwood United had the bye this week and they dropped one place to sixth.
Two draws from their opening games had left Hurstville City Minotaurs at sixth while Hills Brumbies had suffered two losses and they were eleventh. The Brumbies scooted up to seventh following their 3-1 win over the Minotaurs who are now ninth.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers had recorded draws in the first two games and so they were in seventh position when this game started and ninth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic had a loss and a bye in the first two rounds. Magic were just a bit too good for the Rangers on the day as they came up with a 2-1 win that took them up to fifth while the Rangers have fallen back to eighth.
Grade 16
Fraser Park had registered two wins from their matches so far and so they started this week?s encounter at the top of the table on goal difference while Hakoah had produced a win and a draw t be placed fifth. Hakoah did well to hold Fraser Park to a 1-1 draw, a result that took Fraser Park back to second and left Hakoah at fifth.
Camden Tigers were in second spot on goal difference at kick-off time after winning their opening two matches while St George were ninth following losses in both the games. However, the Saints discovered some form this week as they were 3-2 winners and they jumped into seventh place while the Tigers went back to fourth.
Hurstville City Minotaurs started this week?s match in third place on goal difference following wins in the first two games while Hills Brumbies had lost both their matches and they were eleventh. When the Minotaurs won by the odd goal in five they moved to the top to the table and the Brumbies stayed where they were.
Stanmore Hawks had registered a win and a draw from their two games and so they came into this match in fourth position while seventh placed Southern Branch had a loss and a bye on their record. The Hawks jumped to third when they posted a 5-2 win and that dropped Southern back to tenth.
Gladesville Ryde Magic had a bye and a loss from the first two rounds and they arrived at this match in eighth place while Mt Druitt Town Rangers had lost both their previous games and they were tenth. The Rangers registered a 2-1 victory to go up to eighth and that has forced Magic back to ninth.
Sixth placed Springwood United had the bye this week.
Grade 18
Stanmore Hawks started the day at the top of the table after they had recorded two wins from the opening two games while Southern Branch were placed eleventh after a loss and a bye. The Hawks retained the top spot with a solid 4-0 victory and Southern remained at the foot of the table.
St George and Camden Tigers had also opened their account with wins in their first two games and they started their clash in second and third places respectively. The Tigers grabbed second spot with a 4-1 win and that sent the Saints back to fifth.
Hakoah kicked off this week?s match in fourth position following a win and a loss while Fraser Park were sixth after they had posted similar results .Fraser Park claimed the points with a 2-1 win and they have taken over fourth place while Hakoah are now sixth.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers had a win and a loss to show for their first two games and they began the day in seventh position while Gladesville Ryde Magic were fifth with a bye and a win. Magic produced a 3-1 scoreline to go up to third and that has forced the Rangers back to eighth.
Hills Brumbies and Hurstville City Minotaurs had both suffered losses in their first two games and they were eighth and ninth respectively at kick-off time. The Brumbies gained the upper hand with a 1-0 victory that has taken them to seventh and left the Minotaurs at ninth.
Tenth placed Springwood United had the bye this week.
