It will be the fifth time the Victory has used Aurora Stadium for a Pre-Season fixture, however, for the first time, the Mariners will provide the opposition, after Adelaide United had filled that role for the four previous visits.

For Mariners? Assistant Coach Tony Walmsley, it will be a return to where it all began, with the Manchester born mentor starting out his Australian coaching career in the Tasmanian Premier League, before taking on a job with the state?s Under age teams.

?I have many wonderful memories from my time in Tasmania, it?s a great part of the world and they are very passionate football fans.

?I actually went to the Victory?s trial with Adelaide last season and there were about 6,000 people making plenty of noise, so I?m sure it will be a great atmosphere.

?My dad still lives down there as well, so it?s really exciting for me personally, as I?m sure it is for the team to be able to play a Pre-Season match in Launceston,? said Walmsley.

Melbourne Victory play the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, 25 July 2010 at Aurora Stadium, Launceston. Kick-off is at 1:00pm AEST, and ticket details will be advised in due course.
