Vale Ante Bosnjak

Football NSW expresses its deepest sympathies to the family of Ante Bosnjak, 48, who passed away on Sunday 16th February 2014.  

Ante came to Australia from Croatia in 1988 and the King Tom club became his haven and his teammates became the family he left behind.

His passion for the club increased after he joined the Board of the King Tomislav Social Club and he worked tirelessly to make every function and event held at the club to be successful. 

Ante was also well known by those at Sydney Juniors and SDSFA where he played O/35’s for a number of years

Affectionately known as “Geca”, Ante was renowned for his unique sense of humour and quick wit and his passing came as a shock to everyone who witnessed the energy he showed on the field up to and including the very last game that he played.

Ante is survived by his long-time partner Bozana; his parents, 2 brothers, a sister and his many friends and teammates.
